FATHER'S DAY IN MEMPHIS 2013

"Memphis Father's Day 2013"

June already?! And Father's Day this Sunday? Time doesn't just fly it zips right on by!! Memphians, don't fret-Jeffrey A. Smith & Associates has tons of last minute ideas, gifts, tips and tricks for the special dad in your life. Known mainly for dealing with Memphis real estate and both buying and selling homes, we decided to branch out to our fellow Memphians and talk about stuff other than just Memphis real estate. So here are some ideas for this Father's Day:

Places to Go:

  • Zoo~they are having a zoo snooze late night safari on Friday June 14th-the beginning of Father's Day weekend~
  • Park
  • Casinos (in Tunica)
  • Putt-Putt or Quail Ridge Golf Course
  • His Favorite Restaurant( or maybe his 2nd favorite, because his 1st choice might be PACKED)
  • Graceland
  • Pink Palace
  • Memphis Botanical Gardens ( no-not for the flowers but for the Chicago band!!)~Tickets are $45 and the concert is on Saturday June 15th-technically the day before Father's Day, but hey it's all in the name of dads, right?

Things to Do:

  • Chillax at home and watch his favorite movie with him
  • Cook him breakfast, lunch, or dinner (or all 3!) Side-note: This should make for the best Christmas gift Dad has ever even thought about buying you :)
  • Go hunting, fishing, boating or anything outdoorsy that he likes to do (Did someone say Shelby Farms?)
  • Grill out with and/or for him
  • Take pictures together to remember this awesome Father's Day the two of you shared in 2013

Gifts to Buy:
  • Tools
  • Bacon (who doesn't love bacon?!)
  • Hunting gear,fishing gear, etc.
  • His favorite movie
  • A subscription to Netflix
  • Hit up your local Walgreens and make mugs, t-shirts and even calendars from your own photos
  • Gift certificate to Lowe's, Home Depot, Northern Tool or wherever he doesn't complain about shopping.
Just remember, whatever you give him, even if it's just a handmade card from the heart, it will mean the world to him and he will remember it- at least until next year ;)
